The Downpatrick Campus is just one of eight campuses within SERC. The contract for fitted furniture included many of the standard facilities seen in colleges today as well as a commercial centre which includes a professional salon and licensed restaurant open to the public. Forbes also supplied the campus with freestanding furniture throughout.

The newly built parish centre in Magherafelt offers a wide range of facilities for the entire community. Within the new building, furniture such as seating and bespoke items supplied included a board room table, designed and made specifically to suit the room size and the seating capacity required. The coffee shop was fitted out with modern tables and chairs while the reception area was furnished with leather tub sofas. Also included was the supply of linking chairs to the main hall area.

The Abbey Christian Brothers’ Grammar School is a voluntary day school for boys located in the heart of Newry, Co. Down. The fitted furniture contract for the new build incorporated a range of natural wood and laminated materials. With this in mind Forbes were also awarded the contract for the supply of all freestanding furniture including tables, desks, office furniture, canteen furniture and seating.

As one of the largest educational facilities in the UK, Holy Cross College has the capacity to accommodate 1800 pupils.

Forbes Contracts were delighted to be awarded the complete fitted furniture contract and also the supply of loose furniture to all classrooms and other departmental areas.

The impressive facilities at Croke Park include Premium Level and Corporate Suite level. The refurbishment of the Cusack stand gave Forbes Contracts the opportunity to become involved with this prestigious venue. Within a limited timescale wall panelling, mini bars, wardrobes and leather settees were installed in each suite.

As with many sports organisations Bready Cricket Club caters for the social aspect as well as the sport itself. This was an opportunity for Forbes Contracts to install not only the kitchen, toilet cubicles and changing room bench seating, but also a main bar and bespoke reception counter fabricated in the club colours.

Fit out of the new Wellington Eye Clinic included consultants rooms, lockers in changing areas, aesthetics rooms and a staff room. The main showpiece however was the reception counter, a combination of walnut, glass and soft lighting.

The most prestigious private hospital in Ireland required the most prestigious furniture. Co-ordination was the key factor for completion of each ward as well as numerous nurses workstations and a very highly specified main reception area.

Included in this contract was the fit out and installation of nurses workstations, reception counters, general classrooms, offices, laboratories and student lockers. By client request the student lockers were to have a robust locking system which was designed by the Forbes technical team and approved by the architect.

As with all primary schools, the importance of practical height furniture in relation to the pupil age group must be carefully considered. This project involved numerous consultations with the architect in order to manufacture and install the classroom furniture to the exacting requirements.

This project involved the fit out of a vast range of products from the Forbes Contracts portfolio. Items such as library shelving, toilet cubicles, vanity units and numerous counters were installed in addition to the main classroom furniture.

A complete overhaul of the old school building alongside the newly erected building provided Forbes Contracts with a unique challenge to combine old with new, thus providing bespoke oak panelling to its main reception area which blended very nicely with the more modern classroom furniture.

The fit out of the new Sperrin Integrated College in Magherafelt involved close liaisons with staff to provide a practical yet colourful environment for students. Special attention was paid to colour co-ordinating the loose furniture in each room with the fitted furniture.

Forbes Contracts provided the entire fitted furniture package for this new college. Works included classroom furniture, toilet cubicles, integrated plumbing panelling systems, shower cubicles, changing room bench seating, adjustable wall shelving, display boards and a reception counter.

This contract involved the fit out of furniture for both classrooms and toilet facilities which were made to spec to accommodate special needs pupils. In some areas furniture was specially adjusted in height to suit the needs of the end user.
